We will ship your trophies to you in the shortest possible time, allowing for treatment of your skulls and skins, and in the case of shipping into the European Union, all skulls are bleached in a solution of hydrogen peroxide.
Be aware that your trophies may not be delivered to us immediately after your hunt, but generally, we work on a turnaround period of approx 10-12 weeks, but if we can do it faster and as efficiently, well do it! Again, to avoid incurring unnecessary delays and mis-understandings, please be sure to work with your professional hunter and complete the Trophy List that is our means of communication with you to ensure smooth shipping to your taxidermist.
For shipping into the USA, we will need to work with a clearing agent who, in turn, will need a Power of Attorney (POA) from you to import your trophies on your behalf. Over the years, weve developed strong and professional clearing agents throughout the USA, Europe and South Africa.
Freight forwarding is handled by our agents in Johannesburg, who ensure that all pieces are cleared by the State Veterinary Authorities and then booked onto a reputable airline you may not be aware of the fact that some international airlines/carriers do not carry hunting trophies, so we are very select with whom we place your freight, recognizing that cheaper rates does not necessarily mean good service and handling.
Shipments for South African Taxidermists and Tanners: we will contact their respective clearing agent to arrange clearances, collection and delivery to the taxidermists/tanners. This agent will contact you prior to delivery regarding payment and all charges related to further work specifications.
All shipping costs are separate and are in addition to our Dip & Pack account: for quotations in shipping, contact us and we can provide you with an estimate of our charges based on current IATA tariff rates from Maun to destination.
We do have a number of preferred agents throughout the world with whom we are confident can handle your shipments through USF&WS Designated Ports.
